Smart HR management solutions developed in Latvia

Remote work has become a reality in the wake of the pandemic crisis, so the need for smart technology solutions for human resources (HR) is becoming more and more important. Learn about the latest solutions for efficient personnel management available on the market at the RIGA COMM conference “Smart HR” on 15 October, but in the meantime the organisers offer an insight into some of the solutions developed in Latvia.

Team building activities in a virtual environment

Due to constraints and safety reasons, it is more difficult to organize on-site events at present; employees are rapidly losing motivation, so it is especially important to build a connection to the company, create motivation and promote team cohesion. Representatives of the Latvian brand “Prieks darbā” point out that remote, technology-based events related to various team building games ‒ quizzes, urban orienteering events, as well as team events in small groups ‒ are most relevant at this moment of time.

Corporative online radio ‒ a new internal communication tool

When employees are working remotely, you can refresh the internal communication with the company's online radio, creating a sense of unity, as well as informing and entertaining employees. You can plan this as a unique one-day event, as well as a weekly event with individually tailored content, such as songs, greetings, the most up-to-date information and interactive games.

Recognition technology for team building

The data technology company SQUALIO has created the recognition technology PEERO for organization management and team building, which enables feeling a sense of belonging in a company and a team sharing a common culture and values, thus promoting involvement, motivation and mutual evaluation. The application developed in Latvia is the first in the Baltics to be integrated with Microsoft Teams, thus becoming available to 75 million users worldwide.

Flexible remuneration system

Half of the Latvia's population is not prepared for unforeseen expenses and experience acquired during the pandemic confirmed that the additional sense of security for employees is important. In partnership with Flipful, each company can give its employees financial security to overcome unexpected cases without unnecessary borrowing. In addition, the mobile app also includes tips to promote financial literacy, taking care of the long-term financial well-being of employees.

eLearning about remote work

Working from home may initially seem like a dream, but after a few days, it can become a serious challenge. In order to prepare for the new form of working, the e-training company INTEA offers a free online course on remote work, where you can learn about providing psychological and physical well-being, effective communication and best productivity tools. The company also offers a course on remote meetings where you can find out how to look and sound professional and how to avoid technical errors.
