Central platform simplifies procurement for e-mobility

The digital procurement specialist Facturee centralizes the procurement of individually manufactured components for electromobility to facilitate manufacturers' access to diverse manufacturing technologies.

The growing variety of electric vehicle models increases the demands on component procurement in Europe. The Berlin-based company Facturee bundles this demand through a network of more than 2,000 manufacturing partners and around 15,000 machines. Customers access processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, and additive manufacturing through a single interface.

One application example is the eTaxi Austria pilot project, which tested automated charging in Vienna and Graz. Facturee supplied various aluminum components for the charging system of the Austrian company Easelink. The project, which ran from 2021 to 2025, used special charging pads in the ground, eliminating the need to manually connect a cable.

In the automotive industry, series production requires verifiable quality standards and certifications. Facturee is ISO 9001 certified and provides industry-specific documentation such as IATF 16949 or initial sample inspection reports. To hedge against geopolitical supply chain disruptions, the company uses a strategy with integrated second-source suppliers to avoid production downtime.

According to data from the International Energy Agency, the European market for electric cars grew by over 30 percent to 4.2 million vehicles in 2025. Given this diversity, different factors must be brought together in purchasing, reports Facturee CEO and founder Moritz König. "Especially in a volatile market environment, it is important to be able to react flexibly in procurement," emphasizes König.
